THE SPECIAL KIND OF MOCHA

As I walked into Much Mocha Love, I was starting to understand a few things about my new ‘Boyfriend’. Firstly, he was incredibly bossy and didn’t seem too bothered when I pointed this out or even try to argue against it being true. And secondly, he made it increasingly difficult for you to stay mad at him because of this fact.

Jared always seemed to know a way to make me smile, or simply a way to turn me on so much I was lucky I remembered my own damn name, let alone what it was I was angry with him for in the first place. But this was all down to a number of things, like how he always seemed to be touching me, as if he was compelled by something primal and possessive. Or the way he was always leaning in close to whisper little teasing sentences in my ear and his ability to always make me laugh or giggle about something.

He didn’t even seem that phased by the sound of my weird laugh but more endeared by it or something. If anything, I would say that he was acting less like someone I was just ‘dating’ and more like someone who had…

Fallen in love.

“Hey, Mud Coffee Girl, be with you in… holy mother of… erm, I mean, hey girl customer I have known for years but never seen with this man before… excuse me, I will be right back,” Jenny said the second she saw Jared walk in behind me. This was after he first opened the door for me like a gentleman and placed his hand at my lower back to guide me in (again, yet another reason to touch me).

However, Jenny left her current customer so she could come racing over to me, smiling once at Jared which looked a little strained before she pulled me off to one side. Now what she didn’t know about this was that Jared had incredible hearing, so therefore it wasn’t going to be a conversation that was as private as I would have liked, hoped or even prayed for.

“Okay, so who is the hottie and what happened to Orson…? Damn, girl, not that I am complaining, sheesh, but what you got going on by that lake of yours, you setting up a damn male Harem?” At this I coughed once in shock before shouting,

“What! No, of course not. He’s… well he’s…”

“Not Orson is what he clearly isn’t,” she finished for me.

“No, it turns out I was wrong… about Orson I mean, he wasn’t…” Again, in true Jenny fashion, she didn’t let me finish.

“Oh, honey, they never are but trust me, if there is one out there then I think you might have found him,” she said waggling her brows and making me chuckle before asking,

“Wait, what are you talking about, found what?”

“A Municorn.”

“A what now?” At this Jared looked as though he had to stifle a laugh and did so by coughing.
